น้ำที่ใช้ในการฉีดจะ มีสารเสริมเข้ามาเรียกว่า benzyl alcohol (BnOH) ในส่วนของ แอลกอฮอล์ Benzyl เป็นของเหลวไม่มีสีมีความเป็นพิษต่ำและความดันไอต่ำ สารตัวนี้ช่วยให้ตัวเปปไทด์และออร์โมน สามารถอยู่ได้นานหลังจากผสมกับ Bacteriostatic water ประมาณ 20 วัน
และในทางกลับกัน Sterile water เมื่อผสมกับ เปปไทด์และฮอร์โมนแล้วสามารถอยุ่ได้ประมาณ5 วัน จะไม่สามารถอยู่ได้นานกว่านี้
